Vijaya Iyer is the Senior Director of Global Regulatory Affairs PLCM & Regulatory Compliance at Apotex Inc., she leads a global team spanning North America, India, the EU, and Australia/New Zealand.

Ms. Iyer began her career as a Laboratory Chemist in New Zealand and has steadily progressed into leadership roles in both New Zealand and Canada. Her expertise includes regulatory affairs, quality and compliance, and operations management, with a strong record of success in agency communications, supplier and customer management, CMO transitions, acquisitions, and mergers.

With deep strategic regulatory knowledge of global markets—including Saudi Arabia, the GCC region, LATAM, and India—Ms. Iyer applies Lean Six Sigma principles to drive continuous improvement in systems, processes, and operational efficiency. She has successfully built and continues to grow a high-performing global regulatory team by leveraging diverse competencies worldwide.

Ms. Iyer holds a Master of Science in Analytical Chemistry from SNDT University and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Mumbai University, India. She further enhanced her business and quality acumen with a Diploma in Business Administration from the University of Auckland and a Certificate in Quality Assurance from Auckland University of Technology. Her educational background and professional journey reflect a commitment to excellence, global collaboration, and regulatory leadership.
