Rumit Shah is the Associate Director, Global R&D – Liquid & Specialty Dosage Forms at Apotex Inc., where he leads strategic and technical initiatives for the development of complex generic and specialty pharmaceutical products. With over 17 years of pharmaceutical industry experience, he specializes in formulation and process development, CMC strategy, technology transfer, lifecycle management, and global regulatory submissions. His expertise spans complex injectables, ophthalmics, nasal drug products, peptide formulations, oral solutions, 505(b)(2) development programs, and other specialty dosage forms. Throughout his career, he has led cross-functional teams, advanced complex product development programs from concept to commercialization, and driven technical innovation, risk mitigation, and execution strategies that support global regulatory and business objectives. Rumit holds a Master of Pharmaceutics degree from NMIMS University, Mumbai, India.
