Michael is a seasoned quality professional with more than 30 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry. His view of quality is that it is patient focused, proactive rather than reactive and continually improving.

Michael is currently the Chief Quality Officer at Biocon Biologics, leading the Quality Management Maturity transformation at a pivotal time for the biosimilars industry. Prior to this, Michael was the Head of Connected Health and Devices at Merck KGaA where he transformed the use of real-world data to improve patient compliance and head of Pharma Quality where he overhauled
the performance of the pharma network. In addition, Michael has managed over 100 health authority inspections at Novartis, Ferring and other pharma companies leading to major launches of new products.

Michael combines story telling with data to make compelling and engaging visions for the teams he leads which results in consistent increases in team engagement. This is combined with a deep interest in selected ESG topics leading to meaningful actions.
