Matt Wetzel is a Partner at Goodwin Procter LLP in Washington, DC where he represents life sciences and medical technology companies on a host of legal, regulatory, and compliance issues, including healthcare fraud and abuse, third-party coverage and reimbursement, and market access, among other areas.  Matt regularly counsels clients on strategic responses to emerging legislative and regulatory issues, including most recently the Inflation Reduction Act and the BIOSECURE Act.  He also conducts internal investigations and represents healthcare and life sciences companies in government enforcement actions.  Matt co-leads Goodwin’s MedTech Practice and Late-Stage Drug Development Practice.  He is the Life Sciences & MedTech Expert Contributor to the Washington Legal Foundation and serves on the Boards of Directors of both the American Health Law Association and the World War II Foundation.  Mr. Wetzel received his BA and JD from Georgetown.
