Maryll W. Toufanian is Senior Vice President – Regulatory Strategy and Government Affairs at Amneal Pharmaceuticals, where she leads the company’s regulatory strategy, government affairs, and public policy functions. She works across Amneal’s Specialty, Biosimilars, and Generics portfolios, leading regulatory strategies supporting key products and representing the company on federal and state policy matters involving drug regulation, patient access, trade, and pharmaceutical supply chains.
Maryll serves on the Board of Directors of the Association for Accessible Medicines (AAM) and Securing America’s Medicines and Supply (SAMS), a multi-industry coalition focused on strengthening the security and resilience of the U.S. medical supply chain.
Before joining Amneal, Maryll held senior leadership positions at the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, including Director of the Office of Generic Drug Policy in FDA’s Center for Drug Evaluation and Research (CDER). She also served in senior roles within CDER and the Office of the Commissioner and as Associate Chief Counsel for Drugs in FDA’s Office of Chief Counsel.
Earlier in her career, Maryll practiced law at Zuckerman Spaeder LLP and Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP and clerked for the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.
Maryll earned her J.D. from New York University School of Law, an M.A. in English Literature from the University of Texas at Austin, and a B.A. in Afro-American and African Studies and English from the University of Michigan.
