Mary Jo Carden, RPh, JD serves as Head of Policy at Sandoz where she is responsible for leading the development and implementation of the federal and state company reimbursement policy strategy related to the Medicare and Medicaid programs, 340B, and for other public and private payers. She is responsible for leading the company policy and thought leadership strategy on implementation of the Inflation Reduction Act.
She has previously served as Vice President of Government and Pharmacy Affairs at the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP) and as Director of Regulatory Affairs at Medco Health Solutions, Inc (now Express Scripts). She has been Assistant Adjunct Professor at the University of Florida College of Pharmacy and an Associate Adjunct Professor at Shenandoah University Bernard J Dunn School of Pharmacy.
Ms Carden holds a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree from University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy and a Juris Doctor degree from the Catholic University of America in Washington, DC. She is admitted to the State Bar of Maryland and is licensed as a pharmacist in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
