Dr. Juliane Lessard is the Director for the Division of Drug Delivery, General Hospital Devices, and Human Factors in the Office of Office of Gastro-Renal, ObGyn, General Hospital, and Urology Devices (OHT3) in the Center for Devices and Radiological Health (CDRH) at the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA). Her division is responsible for premarket and postmarket review activities of a large portfolio of medical devices, including drug delivery device constituents for combination products, such as autoinjectors, prefilled pen-injectors, on-body injectors, and infusion pumps. Dr. Lessard holds a Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Molecular and Cell Biology from the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Prior to her current position, Dr. Lessard spent 8 years as a senior lead reviewer and branch chief in CDRH’s Office of In Vitro Diagnostics.
