David Pennington is CEO of Doctor Evidence, where his team builds the platform biopharma companies use to find, compare, and validate global regulatory and clinical evidence.

He has spent more than twenty years building and scaling early-stage healthcare companies. David served in the United States Air Force, training in pararescue and combat control before eventually transitioning into healthcare as a critical care nurse.

His commercial career began in clinical development and progressed through marketing and sales before settling into general and executive management. David tends to join a company when it has a real product but no commercial engine underneath it. Along the way, he has built and led commercial and operations teams from the ground up, written the first real business plans some of these companies ever had, and taken new products and business lines to market. He has led business units spanning ocular, wound care, sports medicine, uro-gynecology, and regenerative surgery, as well as technology and SaaS offerings.

He holds a BS in Biology, a BS in Nursing, and an MBA.
