Andrew Coogan is a Lieutenant Commander in the United States Public Health Service and a member of the Patent and Exclusivity Team (PET) in the Office of Generic Drug Policy. He joined FDA in 2014 as a Regulatory Project Manager within the Office of Generic Drugs (OGD) and has been a member of the PET since 2018. He became OGD’s drug shortage coordinator in January 2023. Before joining FDA, he was a clinical pharmacist with Indian Health Service on the Navajo Reservation in Arizona. He received his Doctorate of Pharmacy from the University of Pittsburgh in 2013.
