Gavin Clingham, JD

Alliance for Patient Access

Gavin Clingham is Director of Public Policy for the Alliance for Patient Access, advising on federal and state policies that impact patient access to healthcare.

With more than two decades of public policy advocacy experience, Gavin brings a comprehensive understanding of the legislative and regulatory process. He leads efforts engaging with federal agencies including CMS, FDA and NIH on regulatory and policy decisions, and Congress on legislative solutions to patient access challenges.

In this role he advises AfPA’s Generic Access Project, a patient stakeholder coalition that focuses on ensuring sound policy around generic medicines and the Biologics Prescribers Collaborative, a collection of specialty medical societies that work for a sustainable biologics and biosimilar marketplace. Both focus on policies that ensure patient access and reduce patient cost.

Gavin received his Juris Doctor degree from the Boston University School of Law, graduated from The Catholic University of America and is a member of the bar of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. A lifelong Red Sox fan, he lives in Maryland with his family and dog Otis.
